mogo is the work of ann manubay and dabney frake.
ann loves food that is crunchy, or salty, and preferably both. other documented weaknesses include sports gear, travel, japanese design, and gadgets. most of mogo’s geeky, technology-related things are her ideas.
dabney is a reformed nature girl, having abandoned her socks and sandals in vermont when she left for massachusetts in the 1990s. several years ago, she traded in her non-profit, world-saving ways to create cute images and patterns on the computer. she will fight ann to the death for sunday’s crossword puzzle.
if ann and dabney had a time machine they would go back and get art degrees and live happily ever after, most likely in kyoto, or maybe sydney. as it is, they must content themselves by sewing and screen printing in their basement, then crossing their fingers that others like and buy what they make.
when they aren’t dreaming up new products, they are cleaning up after their 15 year-old dog, feidler, who lives with them in boston.
